Goodnight Trane… a real good dog

May 7, 2009
Trane's Last Bone

Trane's Last Bone

Had to put “Trane” down today. He was almost 15 years old and time had taken it’s toll on that poor dog. Finally on his last walk he looked at me and he realized he just could not make it… It was so much harder than I thought, and I lost it later that night. Wine helps.  I was told that dog never caught a break from me, but that’s only partially true.

Rainy Night Thursday

January 22, 2009
Barcelona

Barcelona

I love the rain.

Not like most people…

I mean I love the rain like a drunken wino philosopher loves a great bottle of Pinot Noir more than a great woman. It rained tonight like those rare California rains that make you think about your life and dying and how you love the world and the dirt and the buildings.

I love the rain.
